DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!!!Quite BrightBiology
DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!!! In all my years, no one was helpful, the buildings are poor and dirty and run down, the food is absolutely disgustin,g the course material is so lame, for dumb people! I should have tansferred earlier! I have not learned a single thing except how to put up with a bunch of bullcrap. Overpriced gross food, run down buildings, very poor education with professors who don't care at all. I did not learn a single thing, and I came from a very reputable hig hschool in Ohio. This university made me feel even dumber. It even gave me a very ong deep depression to the point of suicide because of how bad it is. Thsi univeristy should be torn down limb from limb and should not exist in this world anymore. No one should have to waste a single penny on this crap.

Question
I had a HORRIBLE time while at BGSU.Quite BrightUndecided
I had a HORRIBLE time while at BGSU. I had to transfer of the school for my own sanity.
Department & Classes: For my orientation they gave me a random teacher to help me with advising..so I ended up taking mostly useless classes for my first semester. At least they were friendly, and many faculty/ teachers at the school ARE friendly. Except the advising office, where I often felt I was constantly judged being in there.

University: This campus is ugly, isolated, and dreary. It's more tolerable if you have friends and can get out of Bowling Green for awhile. They also need to seriously update Kreischer Hall because it was depressing living in there.

Coursework: The coursework was way too easy for me my first semester..it didn't help that my "teachers" were just grad students seeking experience points for their resumes. One of my teachers just read off of power point slides the entire class period EVERYDAY. Don't really feel like I'm getting much value from my cost of tuition, BG.

Social Life: Pretty decent, people party and get out to do stuff. Lots of different clubs to choose from. The city of Bowling Green is pretty tiny, but at least it's close-ish to Toledo?Overall it was just a bad experience for me at this college. It's for some but definitely not for me. Highly recommend you to look into the college first/visit it before you make a decision like I did.

Question
I had a great undergrad experience at BGSU.Quite BrightEnglish
I had a great undergrad experience at BGSU. Most of the faculty/staff were friendly, helpful, and treated students as individuals. Over the course of four years, I ran into maybe four or five professors who were condescending or close-minded or generally crappy--within various departments--but that can be said for any university. The community I found in the arts village and in my extracurricular orgs was amazing. The campus size is entirely walkable, so I rarely utilized the buses, but when I did, they were generally on-schedule. There were always on-campus events going on, geared toward various interests. For the most part, you get out of the courses what you put into them, so it's possible to get a good education or a crappy one, depending on your own motivation and willingness to work.
