    Just a few quick comments:
A high school education only gives you the basics to survive, a college education helps you to thrive. I would recommend that you take your time getting through school. You have your whole life to work; take the time to reflect on what you are doing and learning while in school. I would also recommend getting your master's and maybe your doctorate while you are young, it's hard to do when you have a job and family.
I really like TAMU-Commerce (it was East Texas State University in my day). I have gone back to visit on several occasions and the profs (those who are still there) remember me! I am impressed that undergrads in the science department are doing research, publishing and also presenting at conferences. What a great opportunity for someone who wants to go on and get a higher degree and/or land a competative job.
There is a new recreation center with a rock climbing wall, pool, indoor track, etc. They are also building a new science building,I think it will open in 2005. They have a program for incoming freshmen called the Mayo College. It is a program to develop student leaders. Lots of great things going on at old ET!
