1. The classes are a joke. I'm not exaggerating. Ever pick up one of those self-help books while waiting at the airport and think, who reads this crap? Yeah. That's your curriculum. Classes totally lack objectivity. "Scheduling" is not scheduling. "Estimating" is not estimating. I learned literally nothing that will help me in my career as a project manager. Two years of fluff for $50,000. Not a bad business model.
2. The professors are part time academics who spend little, if any, time interacting with students. The "lectures" are pre-recorded audio or video presentations, many of which are nearly a decade old. Good luck getting a response to that email you sent out last week. In the middle of my last quarter, a professor actually went on vacation for a week. What?
3. The quality of the lectures is as embarrassing as the content. It really is bad.
4. On top of the desperately lacking academics, I'm not sure how this program is even accredited. Halfway through the program, I realized I was facing 4 BACK TO BACK QUARTERS with none of the classes I needed to graduate. That's a year. You can't make this up. No, I didn't screw up how I planned out my classes. No, I wasn't the only one caught up in this predicament. I wound up losing my concentration (project management) and graduating with "green" and "real estate" classes that were even more lacking than their project management counterparts. My employer was thrilled. "Tell me again why you're taking this sustainability BS?"5. The only reason I would consider entering into this program was if I was only concerned with getting the "MS" after my name. But I think most people are concerned with getting something out of their education by the time they go back for their masters. Especially when it's as expensive as Drexel.
I had no idea how difficult it would be to even get a rejection email from professors regarding advising/funding. I sent a ridiculous amount of emails to a variety of professors but got nothing in return. Nothing! I get that you may be busy with class, research, all that, but it takes about a minute to just say, "Sorry, not interested." If you plan on coming here for your PhD or Masters, be sure to be fully funded! It is difficult to find any sort of help if you are not.
The other graduate students in the Biomed program all seemed nice. We all spoke kindly to each other and helped each other out when we could. There are some students who haven't grown up, but you don't have to interact with them if you don't want to.
The faculty are okay and easy to get a hold of (when you are in their classes). They will help you and give you advice when you need it, I can't recall any issue I have had with any of the professors I have had.My main issue comes with dealing with the Biomed Office. After about a year and a half of having difficulty with funding, I decided to leave Drexel with a Masters instead of a PhD. I tried to inform the office of this, and they fought with me all the way. Constantly asking why I was switching and making it difficult for my to just leave after 2 years. Specifically, they did not inform me of specific forms that needed to be completed, applications that needed to be filled, and other little things that would have hindered my leaving. If you are coming here, find an advisor! I can't stress that enough.
- My department is respected (ranks 50th in USNews Best Engineering Program)
- University resources and funds help me a lot. It has great research centers, especially the newest Bossone Research Enterprise Center.

Drexel found away to tarnish my academic career and my financial stability.
After numerous attempts to contact my adviser. I finally got her on the phone only to be made aware that the grade that I had been calling and emailing about has now turned into an F.
I am now fighting for my grade to be changed.
During my last year with Drexel I was also not made aware that my students loans had not gone through after numerous conversations with Financial Aid. After finally catching up with my adviser I was told that I could not apply for graduation because there was some type of hold on my account. Upon farther investigation I found out that I did not receive funding for the last year of school and now I owe the school over $14,000 dollars.
Stay away from this school. There is no guidance and if you are a busy professional that does not have time to set up and check your Drexel email you will learn to regret it.The cost of prestige is not worth your GPA or financial stability.
