I would recommend applying ED and if you knowJul 21 2017Biology
I would recommend applying ED and if you know you want to go, get the paperwork in as early as possible. The quicker you send in forms and learn information asap so that you are prepared to have an easy transition. Its competitive, especially for money, so your grades have to be high as well as you test scores. I also recommend taking AP classes for extra college credit.

They cheated me by offering a cunningly worded letterJul 30 2016Unknown
they cheated me by offering a cunningly worded letter of admission to a competitive program . Initially it looked like a good offer, but it is way of attracting some extra students to earn their living. I wasted one year in this stone aged school with out any facilities and $10000+ loans

I got high grades in high school and aDec 14 2015Sociology
I got high grades in high school and a high SAT score to get into Howard. Through the good and bad, you still need a pretty high GPA and SAT score to attend this university. My advice would be to focus on your GPA and SAT a lot throughout high school, extracurriculars are also very important but honestly your stats speak volumes here.

Work hardApr 14 2014Public Health
Work hard. To be honest, I didn't apply myself at all in high school. I still got good grades though. Had I applied myself, I could have gotten scholarships from Howard. That didn't come until I proved myself later. They will give you $ if you have the gpa. Talk to other students. If you can, visit the campus and sit in some classes.
