It's not hard to get in but hard to get out. Not many people can make it through the school. This school is a bootcamp and it's for the self-motivated and optimistic individuals.

I made six or so paintings that I really liked. I submitted them and got in. I am not sure what they are looking for but I tired to show as best I could that I know how to draw to some extent, that I could also paint, and that I understood the materials I used.

I had a good portfolio, which got me in. Art Center doesn't care about high school grades; they care about your portfolio. Art Center very rarely allows for transfer credit from other universities, but they do accept transfer credits from community colleges such as Pasadena Community College. When getting into Art Center, don't rely on them giving you scholarships; they don't have a large endowment and give very miniscule scholarships.
