I was lazy about my math and science education...my grades were low ..... the other students really don't have the drive to want to apply themselves (me too once) to measure up to standards...they want easy a's

If you do decide to go to York, you have to do all your research yourself. Don't just go on what they tell, if you want to graduate you must keep abreast of your own progress.

If you want to attend York College OR anyJan 29 2012Psychology
If you want to attend York College OR any college for that matter, know what you want to do; do your research; be thorough in your knowledge of your particular career. If you don't you will wind up floundering like a lot of students are doing in college right now. As you know a lot of students at York are not graduating on time and that is putting a strain on the school--financially, mentally and psychologically--because of the cut backs to fed and state aid. I'm all for that. York is trying to make changes, but the students have to do their part by coming to school prepared; have your materials that you need--don't ask your fellow students for pens, pencils and papers because you are lazy and unorganized, and finally, college isn't for everyone. If you are struggling in college there are programs on campus that can help you--Office of Disabilities and the YES program located in Room 1G02. I had to do that and now I'm on board with my studies and am soon to graduate. To students who are not making the grade regardless of the help, leave college and give that seat to a student who not only wants it but needs it.

Basically, I was admitted just by asking. I have experience in the field I'm studying and had reasonably good grades in high school twenty years ago.
