Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I will vehemently advise anyone not to goNursing
I will vehemently advise anyone not to go to this school. It is absurdly expensive for what ends up to be a crappy education and an overall miserable experience. I have had teachers forget to submit my grade, resulting in FAFSA deeming me in unsatisfactory academic standing and denying my financial aid. I had to pay out of pocket that semester because they couldn't fix the issue fast enough, and the cherry on top is the university charged me a late fee for not paying my tuition on time while I was waiting to them to sort the issue out. Due to health issues, I took one semester off but the school still billed me for the full tuition because I had signed up for the class back in June and was ?holding a potential spot? even though I withdrew before the class started in August. I submitted zero assignments, I couldn't access anything for the class, yet I still had to pay for their services which I wasn't even using during that semester. And no one seems to know anything. Good luck getting a real answer out of anyone. I?ve been sent on wild goose chases asking ten different people the same exact question because no one was able to provide me an answer. I have no regrets in life except attending GWU. Save your money and your sanity. Don't even consider this awful school.

Question
On paper GW seems like a nice schoolAverageBusiness - Management and Administration
On paper GW seems like a nice school with a fostering community however after 2 years at the school I can tell you that it's the opposite. Firstly, the Professors and advisors are genuinely some of the most unhelpful people I?ve ever met. The professors are top in their fields which seems like a good thing but all this means is that they are professors on the side and don't actually care about teaching. The advising team is useless and will not help you w course selection, grading issues etc. I know people who went to an advisor and were told to take specific classes but later it was revealed that those classes were not necessary for graduation and as a result those people needed to make up credits. To be frank, the social scene is only fun if you can afford to spend $20 for cover at night clubs and then drinks on top of that. For the most part the student body is wealthy but not the generous, down to earth, old money kind but the self absorbed nouveau riche, having money is a personality trait kind. If you can't keep up with their spending or afford to go to clubs there's not much a night life besides frat parties which mostly take place at rented out clubs or off campus apt?s/houses. For the price of tuition this school is not worth it whatsoever as even the dorms are run down and gross. The only positive I can write about is the dining plan but that's about it.

Question
Overall, GWU was not the pearly-gated university dreamBusiness - Management and Administration
Overall, GWU was not the pearly-gated university dream I always had. I regretted that then and did for about 10 years afterwards. However, I also studied at Georgetown and since working with Ivy League people I can tell you that the education quality at GWU was far superior both from what I got in the Engineering (SEAS) and Business schools at the time. I didn't realize this value until ages later but I really feel the quality of education I received was very high even though I was too miserable to notice this at the time.
