For nearly twenty years Lee University has sponsored a one-of-a-kind college experience for academically talented high school juniors and seniors. The two-week program is a bona fide college encounter that prepares students to face the challenges of college life, both academic and social. Students get a head start on their college career by earning six hours academic credit. While not in class, students will experience a well-planned social life designed to introduce them to wide variety of activities they can expect to find when they arrive at Lee as a freshman. Juilliard Summer Percussion Seminar 2004

Juilliard School

The Summer Percussion Seminar was designed specifically for the intermediate and advanced high school percussionist (applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 18). It offers an intensive week of hands-on study of all the major percussion instruments as well as introductions to framedrums, composition, and percussion ensemble literature. For the 2004 seminar, which runs from July 25-August 2, instructors are Juilliard School faculty members Daniel Druckman, percussionist with the New York Philharmonic; Gordon Gottlieb, world percussionist; Roland Kohloff, principal timpanist of the New York Philharmonic; and Gregory Zuber, principal percussionist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
