University of California, Riverside Summer Academy for Advanced High School Students - Session I

University of California - Riverside

High school students can earn lower division course credit toward their undergraduate college degree by attending a distinguished University of California campus. Classes can be taken during either or both Summer Sessions. High school students attend classes on campus alongside other UC students and learn about instructor expectations, campus resources, and "what it takes" to succeed at the university level.

Children's Theater Ensemble

This children's theater workshop is open to approximately twenty high school students. The class encourages cooperative learning while concentrating on storytelling and performing. The culminating activity is a children's participatory musical production of "Cinderella." Production dates are July 29,30,31,2004. Classes are held on the Neumann College campus. No audition is required to join the workshop. It runs from July 6-July 31, 2004 from 1:00 to 3:30 PM. The cost is $125.00 which includes instruction, costumes, etc.

Student Technology Workshop

The Indiana Academy will be offering a Student Technology Workshop on Tuesday, July 6 through Friday, July 9th for any student entering grades 9 through 12 in the fall. The workshop will offer hands-on learning opportunities in computer programming, web design, or multimedia training. Tuition for the camp is $250 for commuters and $350 for residential participants. This covers room and board on all four days from lunch Tuesday through breakfast Friday. Student Life Counselors will be closely supervising student participants.
