Dates: June 14-19, 2009 Grades: 9-12 (co-ed) Through daily field trips, participants in Geology Field Camp will learn an introduction to rocks, how rocks form, gold panning, geologic history of the Black Hills, unique rocks of the Black Hills - Harney Peak Granite, Cave formations, and different fossils. Field trip locations include The Mammoth Site and The Black Hills Institute to see mammoths, T-rex, and other fossils.
