A two-week academic program designed to challenge, encourage, and uplift high school students graduating in the class of 2005. Those who are accepted into the Symposium attend class with outstanding professors, engage in community service projects, enjoy recreational activities and form lasting friendships with other junior scholars. Football camp, Soccer camp, Baseball camp

The goal of the camp is to teach the basic skills of football; passing, receiving, kicking, punting, deep snapping as well as some defensive skills. Emphasis will be placed on proper techniques to ensure safety and having fun with football. There will be daily and weekly awards. Attending the UWG Dance Camp conducted by Ronda Price, UWG’s basketball dance team coach, will help you learn dance steps, health and nutrition, and injury prevention. Ms. Price will also assist you with basic choreography suggestions.

UWG Pitcher/Catcher Camp

University of West Georgia

A specialty camp designed to develop fundamentals and skills for either pitchers or catchers will be conducted by David "Doc" Fowlkes for participants 7-16 years of age again this summer. The camp will be held at the Woodfin Cole Field on the University campus daily, Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 am to 12 noon. Remember to bring your bat, glove, and ball shoes (but no metal cleats, please). Your child may wish to attend the Infielder/Middle Infielder camp in the afternoons (lunch optional extra $12) or join the UWG Day Camp for afternoon activities (extra $55 fee includes lunch at Z6) to finish out the day until 5 o'clock.
