Florida Atlantic University

The Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University runs the Honors Summer Institute at FAU's Jupiter campus. The three-week program brings together high-achieving 10th and 11th graders with the resources and outstanding faculty of the Wilkes Honors College at FAU and researchers from the world-renowned Scripps Research Institute's Florida campus. The theme for Summer 2006 is Science, Technology, and Society. Students will take one of three honors courses taught by distinguished faculty, in a small class setting, and receive 3 college credits. Science and Technology Enrichment Program (S.T.E.P.)

New York Medical College

This enrichment program is open to highly qualified high school students from New York. The program is funded by the New York State Department of Education and offers underrepresented minority students an opportunity to do research along side graduate students and teachers in order to prepare for a career in medicine. Many of the students are already in Advanced Placement classes in their High Schools and supplement their education with our research program. A high grade point average is recommended as well as the mandatory interview.

National Point Guard Basketball Camp

Denison University

A basketball camp for high school males and females for serious athletes only. This program teaches basketball morning, afternoon, and evening, so it is not for the casual player. One does not have to have great talent to attend, but must want to improve and learn about the mental aspects of the game. The unique feature of the camp are the classroom sessions in which there are vibrant lectures, game video, and interactive learning meetings. The coaches care about the athletes, and registration is limited in order that the camp does not become too large.
