I attended JMU as a grad student part-timeJan 06 2019Math
I attended JMU as a grad student part-time for three years, earning an M.Ed in Mathematics in 2012. I will say for the most part, my classes and professors were of the highest caliber and quality, save for one class and instructor. The professors were collaborative, helpful, caring and understanding, as well as being highly intelligent in their fields. It's my understanding the program has gone online, but I really enjoyed having small classes with only 4 or 5 students myself.
Question
My program here wasNov 20 2014Art & Design Department
My program here was a joke. The faculty is arrogant, self-righteous, and petty. $200+ for a parking pass and still nowhere to park. The administration treats you like an inmate. The entire town is overrun with drunken frat dudes and loud trucks. Think twice before applying to this school.
Question
I graduated from JMU with an Education SpecialistApr 17 2012Psychology
I graduated from JMU with an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology; however, they also have a Psy.D. program. The faculty were friendly, helpful and respectful. I feel that JMU gives more practical experience than other universities in the state. I came out with a GREAT education and was ready to hit the workforce upon graduation. I would HIGHLY recommend JMU if you are interested in becoming a school psychologist.
