Excellent design school, definitely get the most fromSuper BrilliantArt & Design Department
Excellent design school, definitely get the most from the course of study if you are willing to put in the extra work. When presented with a hard working student each professor would dedicate any extra time necessary to improve that students portfolio, which in our industry is an absolute necessity and is more important than a written resume. My first design job was offered to me explicitly because I came from this school, and I moved up from there.

Question
SCAD was a life changing experience for me.Industrial Design
SCAD was a life changing experience for me. I found that the more I put in, the more I got out. I can see how some people could have a tough time there because there isn't really much hand holding. If you approach it half-assed you will get a half-assed education and that isn't the school's fault. I don't imagine private schools need to worry about fostering low performing students because everyone pays the same tuition. That said, I think if you are focused, motivated and ready to grow, SCAD has seemingly limitless resources, options and opportunities for you. You have to work for it.

Question
I had a fantastic experience at S.Fine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc
I had a fantastic experience at S.C.A.D. Although I had a few dull professors most were excellent and several were deep lifelong influences. The facilities were very good and the general atmosphere of the school was very positive. I attended at the Savannah campus, the only one at the time, and found the city itself very inspirational for the artist.
