Advertised as a "public Ivy".Quite BrightPsychology
Advertised as a "public Ivy". About as far from that as possible. The moto is 20,000 students by the year 2020 and no upgrades. Students stuffed in everywhere. Can't get class. Wait weeks for advice It's a large generic public institution with terrible resources and not even a seat available in the library. It's pretty lousy. If you have no other choice, take a year off.

Question
I thought SUNY Binghamton was a horrible school.Quite Bright
I thought SUNY Binghamton was a horrible school. I would definitely not send my kids there. Too many kids are Jewish kids from Long Island. The weather is horrible. There's no football team or school spirit. The Greek Life is lame. This is a decent school if you want to study accounting, finance, or pre-med. If you have to go SUNY, go to Albany. Much better city with DIV I sports programs.

Question
Let me start by saying I cant pronounceBrightEngineering Department
Let me start by saying I cant pronounce 3 out of 4 of my instructors names, due to the fact that they need to be written in a different language. Grading and testing at this school represents little to none of what is taught in class and can vary greatly from what is covered in lecture to what is tested. I dont have a problem with the location of the school, or the safety of the campus, although the food quality on campus is fairly low. I do, on the other hand feel as if I am being completely ripped off in the education side of school, which is what going to college is for... right?? The instructors are unhelpful, the homework is either busywork, or unhelpful its just terrible. Absolutely DO NOT go here if you feel like you want to learn anything.
