EMU gets a bad rep due to the location of the school. It is in Ypsilanti, and unfortunately, Ypsi isn't one of the safest towns. However, the main campus is great.

I loved my undergraduate experience at EMU. I had small classes, meetings with professors and great study groups. It is what you make of it. If you get involved with a club, activity, or with other students in your major, you will do just fine.

I received a wonderful education, had no problem getting a great job in my field, and just got married to an EMU grad who is very successful as well.
