I really like it here, the campus is great, the students are fairly nice but mostly conservative. The beach is about 5 miles away, and theres pretty much always people willing to drive if you don't have a car to get there. Most of the departments are fairly good, some more than others. The food isn't that great all of the time, but theres a lot of different options, and if you want to go off campus to eat there are a lot of good places in town. Good- the people are really helpful and nice, the location is great, the weather is beautiful for most of the year, the classes aren't too big 30-40 usually, professors are really easy to get in contact with, there is always things going on on campus and in the community, the atmosphere is fairly laid back but not slack. Bad- the traffic on campus can be ridiculous at times, and the food isn't the best, and some of the advisors aren't very helpful while others are really helpful. I recommend getting involved, I am involved in different organizations on campus and because of that I always have things to do during the week or on the weekend. I love UNCW, yes there are good an bad things, but I really like and have enjoyed being here at this university.
